Collaboratons with Dana Michel
I have worked closely with performers and dancers throughout my practice and collaborate frequently with live artist Dana Michel.
I have documented Michel's live performances and creating trailers and moving-image works that support their practice. Together, we have created films projects such as Vanessa Vector William Dodger, and Yellow Towel: A Score, and the video installation Lay Them All Down. Lay Them All Down represented Canada at the 11th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art and has been presented at Helsinki Art Museum HAM, Shedhalle, the Wexner Center for the Arts and Musée des Beaux-Arts. The work was acquired by the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal in 2026 and was recently included in the exhibition Comfort and Indifference.
I recently weokred as the cinematographer for their live performacne of MIKE, at the MAC. https://macrepertoire.macm.org/evenement/performance-de-dana-michel/
Their collaboration continues to evolve through a shared interest in experimentation, humor, and trust.
