For the artwork for We’re All Improvisers Now, Maurice explored the intersection between natural and simulated worlds and phases of growth and change in nature. 

Creating ceramic sculptures of pearls and installing them in underwater locations around Montréal, she photographed the distortion effects that the movement of water has on the shapes below the surface. The work highlights how nature uniquely records the process of change over time. Made in collaboration with Renée Forest (3D illustration) and Frédérique Gagnon (Graphic Design). The combination of real and simulated elements has an inherent calming effect and reflects on the hybrid nature of the music.
